My partner and I go to the same diner about every week, and it has a western theme with saddles and bridles and cowhides everywhere. Along with that, they have a fireplace that is constantly burning. It doesn’t use real wood. It is a single of those gas fireplaces with fake wood in it, and so it looks real but is not. I don’t mean to point out the fact that it is a single of those fake electric fireplaces with a section gas furnace built in either, however this fireplace is a legitimate fire. It is just a gas burning fireplace. The fireplace is behind a glass panel and there is something I don’t understand about it! You see, the fireplace is not hot. It is almost always burning, even in the summer, but it never lets off any heat. I don’t think if the glass panel blocks all of the heat or what, then maybe the gas just burns in a way that it doesn’t let off that much heat, but even in the winter, the fireplace is not hot. I can tell that the diner is using forced air heating in the Winter and air conditioning in the summer. The reason I am so interested in the diner’s fireplace is because I entirely want a single. I would prefer a fireplace usually burning in our home; year round prefer this! However, I would prefer to be able to control if it lets off heat or not. I would prefer fireplace warmth in the Winter weeks but not in the Summer months. So it would be nice for the fireplace to help our central gas furnace but not hinder our central cooling unit. I wonder if an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier would be able to help myself and others with something similar to that at least.
