Living in a rural area was always a dream of mine.
I couldn’t wait to get out of the city.
When I could afford to buy a house, I knew I was going to buy a house out in the middle of nowhere. It didn’t take long for me to find the perfect house. The house was in the middle of nowhere and our nearest neighbor was about half a mile away. I couldn’t believe that I could sit on my front porch, drinking my morning coffee, and see nature up close. I welcomed summer when it finally arrived. I couldn’t believe how much cooler it was in my new home than in the city. I could open windows and I had a breeze blowing through the house. I only had to use the air conditioning for a couple of weeks. When winter arrived, I knew it was going to be just the opposite. The breeze of summer was going to be a winter wind. My only worry was whether my furnace was going to hold up. I wanted to call the local HVAC company and have an HVAC technician come out and service the furnace before winter actually began. I couldn’t find the phone number for a HVAC company. When I went into town, I asked the clerk at the grocery store, if she knew who owned the local HVAC company? She just looked at me. She told me that the nearest HVAC company was in the next town. She gave me the number of the person who did all the furnace and air conditioning repairs in the town.
