I was never all that sad about air quality until the pandemic changed everything, then for the past week, my entire family has been at home.
The teenagers aren’t going to school and my hubby and I aren’t leaving for work in the days. In the area where every one of us live, the weather is still freezing and wet, and we’re forced to rely on the gas furnace for comfort. There’s no opening to open the windows and bring in some fresh air. The home feels overly dry, stale and stuffy. The same air is continually recirculated, and there’s no way to get rid of contaminants that are trapped inside. I’ve vacuumed, mopped, dusted, scrubbed and laundered everything, and am still not convinced that our living environment is as clean and healthy as it could be. I make an effort to change the air filter in the gas furnace every week, however I’m sad it’s spreading allergens into our breathing air. I’ve done some research online and I’d adore to invest in an air cleaner. This genre of air quality accessories installs into the air handler and cleans the air as it passes through the system. It filters out contaminants that are smaller than .03 microns, which is too small for the human eye to see. It also disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, effectively killing them. An air cleaner is proven successful against pathogens, bacteria, viruses, dust, dander, unpleasant smells and more. I am not real ecstatic with the method of bringing an HVAC corporation into the home when we’re all so sad about infection. However, if every one of us take precautions, I guess it’s worth it to get the air cleaner installed.
